Is WENDY WILLIAMS DISCRIMINATING AGAINST RIHANNA BECAUSE SHE IS FROM THE CARIBBEAN?

I am a fan of the WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW when I need the latest on POP CULTURE for my blog. I must admit that I do NOT always agree with her STANCE and her RHETORIC on many matters regarding celebrities. I have noticed for quite some time now that the things she tend to say about POP STAR RIHANNA are indicative of the fact that she is not really a fan of the BARBADIAN SINGER. Suffice it to say I was in no surprised when I saw her HOT TOPICS last week in on one of her episodes on YOU TUBE captioned "RIHANNA LANDS ANOTHER #1"
I opened the video with my heart pounding in my chest waiting for the SHADES FOR DAYS. Wendy Williams did not disappoint my expectation one bit. She credited the singer for having passed legendary MICHAEL JACKSON for having 14 #1 HITS but followed that sentiment with NEGATIVES "SHADES" IN THE SAME BREATH. Please read her quote below:
Rihanna will not be a legend. Beyonce will do her residency in Vegas at 55 years old and you will go see her. Rihanna will attempt to do it, but as soon as she gets up there and says the 'B' word better have my money'... Rihanna is good for right now, but she's not a legend – nor will she be. That's all.”
 LISTEN TO HER VIDEO
I am very DISAPPOINTED that Wendy Williams will allow this statement to leave her lips. Is she playing GOD who alone has the power to KNOW A PERSON'S DESTINY or is this a sign of JEALOUSY of the fact that an ISLAND GIRL came to AMERICA and stole this coveted POP STAR title from her own AMERICAN NATIONALS?

As someone who hails from the CARIBBEAN I must say that this comment has rubbed me the wrong way. Wendy Williams needs to APOLOGIZE to the people of BARBADOS for INSULTING their national publicly on national television.

I am really tired of witnessing persons of DEVELOPED COUNTRIES LOOKING DOWN ON PEOPLE FROM SMALL DEVELOPING NATIONS and taking CHEAP SHOTS at them when they strive to access the HIGHEST ECHELON of the SUCCESS LADDER especially in entertainment.

NDP WILL PRESENT THEIR OWN BUDGET AT THE DEOCRAT HOUSE THIS TUESDAY.

The CIRCUS of the NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY (NDP) does not cease to amaze me and many Vincentians. As you are well aware it has been TWO CONSECUTIVE sittings of the HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT that the NDP has deliberately chosen to absent themselves from. Whether or not the approximately 37,000 voters who have elected this political party into office have signed up for this chaos is something to I wonder. They still receive their PAY CHEQUE for NOT SHOWING UP FOR DUTY at the expense of the TAX PAYERS of course. Is this FAIR to the PEOPLE of St. Vincent and the Grenadines?

If my research proves correct should they stay away from parliament for the 3RD CONSECUTIVE sittings BI-ELECTIONS will be held in those 7 CONSTITUENCIES that they now have under their belts. My speculations are that they will not let this happen because it was for this reason that the Leader of the Opposition chose to SWEAR IN HIMSELF, THE MPS, AND SENATORS for duty. Clearly one can see that their PAY CHEQUE is all that they really care about and NOT the VINCENTIAN people.

The madness continues with an announcement of the the presentation of their own budget this coming Tuesday at their headquarters. I have never heard of such a thing. DO WE NOW HAVE 2 PRIME MINISTERS in St. Vincent and the Grenadines??? Is this a DOLL HOUSE??? Are we playing HIDE AND SEEK AND COOPY now??? Can this be the reasons why NDP CANNOT WIN AN ELECTION for the past 4 TERMS???

Does this make sense? They had an opportunity to OPPOSE the "FOLLY" IN THE BUDGET that the government proposed and refused LOL. I am lost for words!!!

A perusal of FACEBOOK showed posts my NDP SUPPORTERS who despise this move on their path. Please take a note of a SCREEN SHOT THAT I SAW ONE OF MY FRIENDS REPOSTED:

I rest my case. NDP continues to prove all the more why I made that video in November 2015 in which I spelled out clearly REASONS WHY I WILL NEVER TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY AND ENDORSE THEM!

ARTIST # 3 KEITH CAMPBEL --> BLACK MUSIC MONTH for #BlackHistoryMonth

Written by Clairon Haynes

ARTIST # 3 KEITH CAMPBELL ==> JAMAICA

The talented humble Keith Campbell hails from Clarendon Park, Jamaica. He loves to sing REGGAE. He has the potential to leave am indelible impression in the music business. However circumstances posed a serious threat to this but his strength and courage have helped him to overcome them remain focus on his passion. He is now working hard in an effort of taking his music at a level where his home country Jamaica and the world by extension can hear what he is made of musically and be edified. SEE MUSIC VIDEO BELOW
Keith has grown to love music since his youth. Keith recall vividly singing the vocals while his brothers Christopher and Dudley DJ. They told him that he sounded great and so their encouragement motivated him to get closer to people who worked close with music production. He started hanging out at CLARENDON BASE SOUND COSMIC FORCE where he enjoyed the perk of showcasing his music. This move was a step into the right direction for Keith. In 1994 he recorded his 1st SINGLE entitled "YOUTH IN THE GHETTO" which received airplay. However, this song did not reap any fruits due to a lack of POOR MARKETING & PROMOTION.

Keith did not allow this lack of success from his first recording to close the door to his musical dreams because he knew deep in his heart there was still hope out there somewhere. He continues to make great music.

SPOUSAL ABUSE GOES VIRAL. WIFE USES FACEBOOK TO SCREAM FOR HELP

A wife of the Caribbean island of TRINIDAD & TOBAGO posted what many describe to be HIGHLY DISTURBING photos chronicling an ongoing series of  DOMESTIC ABUSE which she ALLEGES she suffered at the hand of her HUSBAND.
VIDEO

These pictures were shared by hundreds of persons from what appears to be the BUSINESS PAGE of her husband. Apparently the wife was able to gain access to this page and posted photos of cuts and bruises as her way of SCREAMING FOR HELP. In a post the alleged VICTIM claims that she is putting this information out to the public because in the even something terrible happens to her and her children the TRINIDAD & TOBAGO POLICE will know where to look to trace what may be the inevitable.  This person claims she is married to the owner of a popular auto shop for 12 years now and that this DOMESTIC VIOLENCE has been occurring during this time.
CUT IN THE MIDDLE OF HER HEAD!

She has shared on Facebook that her husband has threatened to KILL her each time she indicated to him her desires to leave the relationship. Hundreds of Facebook users have reached out to her in like and comments offering support, and encouragement to her to get out of the situation as quickly as possible.

As the owner of this blog this story resonates with me a great deal as I am a VICTIM of SPOUSAL ABUSE as well. Although I have gotten out from my marriage early, the psychological repercussions still lingers with me to this very day. I encourage you to pray about this situation and those of you living in Trinidad ad Tobago can assist her by reporting this matter to the police before things get serious.

KENTON CHANCE from I-Witness News was STABBED Sunday night in SVG. Please keep him in your prayers.

KENTON CHANCE WROTE TO HIS FACEBOOK FRIENDS ONE OF WHICH I AM:

"THANKS FOR YOUR CONCERNS
Dear all,
I was involved in an altercation Sunday night in Penniston, during which I received two stab wounds -- one to the right inner thigh and another to the sole of my right foot. Also, I suffered blunt force trauma to my forehead.

Two other persons, a male and a female, were involved in the altercation, and I have been told that one of them, the male, received an injury to the head and has sought medical attention.
I was treated at Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in Kingstown and discharged. While I am expected to make a full recovery, the wounds to my leg and foot are inhibiting my ability to walk properly. The doctor says they should heal in seven to 10 days.
Thanks to all of you who called, messaged, prayed or in other ways expressed concern.
It is my understanding that one of the parties involved in the altercation has initiated legal action. Hence, it is not prudent for me to say more, and I am not inclined to do so anyway.
While I am in the public’s eye, I do not consider myself a public figure, and make this post in light of the many expressions of concerns that I have received.

Special thanks to the very professional staff at Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, namely Dr. Joseph (my former schoolmate) and nurse Parsons -- who promises that she is the best at administering sutures. Time will tell . I was a little disappointed, though, that when I walked in with blood streaming from my forehead and foot, I was shown a bench and told to sit there. After a few minutes, and with a pool of blood on the floor, I had to tell the staff that I am bleeding a lot and was given a bed to lie on. In the end, all’s well that ends well. Never in my life would I have imagined that I would know what it is like to be stabbed…"

COMMENTARY BY CLAIRON HAYNES
I am deeply saddened by this post in my Facebook newsfeed by my friend Kenton. Increase of violence in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has become growing concerns to me. According to this statement from Mr. Chance no details has been given as to the circumstances leading up to this attack. I hereby DENOUCE THIS ACT OF VIOLENCE. I am praying for your speedy recovery.

GOSPEL ARTIST Donnie McClurkin (USA) ==> BLACK MUSIC MONTH for #BlackHistoryMonth

 GOSPEL ARTIST Donnie McClurkin (USA)

  • One of the top selling Gospel music artist selling over 10 million albums worldwide. Pick up his NEW ALBUM "Duets" ===> http://bitly.com/1kDGnos
  •
The Man, The Music & His Ministry
Known worldwide as the tall raspy tenor who commands your attention with his powerful and rich sounding vocals, Donnie McClurkin has more than proven that he is far more than a gospel singer. The man behind the platinum and gold selling CD(s) is an amazing songwriter that not only have penned chart topping tunes like, “Stand” and “We Fall Down,” but has also worn the hat of producer on his projects. His knack for nailing songs that others can identify with and serving them up with a compelling vocal delivery has helped McClurkin to carve out a spot in the hearts of millions.

    "DUET ALBUM SAMPLER"
Finding enough space on the mantel and in his trophy case to store all the awards is a different story. Year 2010 started with McClurkin being honored with a BMI Trailblazer’s Award alongside his mentor, Pastor Andrae Crouch, he received his third GRAMMY Award for “Wait On he Lord”, the hit single with Karen Clarke Sheard from his We Are All One: Live From Detroit
CD, and was nominated for another NAACP Image Award in the Outstanding Gospel Artist category. In 2007 McClurkin was honored at both the 15th Annual Trumpet Awards and the NARAS Recording Academy – NY Chapter. Nestled beside the honoree trophies are several other Grammy, Dove, BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, statuettes and plaques.

    MOST POPULAR SONG "STAND"
McClurkin’s talent did not go unnoticed by “the suits” on the other side of the entertainment fence.
The studios soon came calling for McClurkin to create tunes for soundtracks such as, “Lady Killer’s” (New Line), “The Prince of Egypt” (DreamWorks) and “The Goofy Movie” (Disney). From the concert stage to the big and small screen, fans have also seen this gospel crooner shine in cameo appearances on UPN’s “The Parkers”, “Girlfriends”, “Meet The Browns” (Tyler Perry Paramount Pictures, “The Fighting Temptations” starring Cuba Gooding, Jr and Beyonce’ Knowles and a myriad of Award Shows. However, it was in Sony Screen Gems/ Rainforest Films “The Gospel,” starring Boris Kodjoe and Idris Elba, that McClurkin made his debut in a character role. His face has been sprawled on the pages of USA Today, New York Times, Essence Magazine, Ebony & Jet Magazines, Billboard, Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. There is definitely far more to this man than his music.

It was never McClurkin’s intent to retire as a recording artist. He always knew that singing was just one of the gifts that would be used as a platform to crossover to another arena in the business. His long-time vision of starting a record label has finally arrived; Camdon Music, the name of McClurkin’s label, is well on its way to becoming a reality. Heading up a label will position him to showcase his many gifts while allowing his keen ability to hear great talent and discover the musical potential in artists from every walk of life. Already signed and sealed to Camdon Music is McClurkin’s sister, Andrea Mellini, who sang background with him on all his recordings, and Perfecting Faith Choir.

Camdon Records will not only be home to the best music around, but it will feature the spoken word as well. The Donnie McClurkin Ministry Series, which can currently be found in Wal-Mart stores across the U.S. and www.camdonmusic.com is another division of the label that fans will enjoy. Powerful messages like “The Valley of God” and “Attachments” is just a sample of what’s to come.

WE FALL DOWN BUT WE GET UP

When asked what message he wants his life to convey, McClurkin says, “I hope people will be able to say that I really had a true relationship with God,“ he concluded.” “Not only did I sing it, but also my very life exemplified it… no façade or hypocrisy. When I was wrong, I was wrong, but I took blame rather than allow holiness to appear to be some fabricated way of life. I want that people will not have seen me, but rather seen that this is what a relationship with Jesus is like and I would hope it could be said that holiness was what I lived, and what I passed on to the next generation, and the next.”

Krishna ‘Dada’ Lawrence ==> MUSIC PRODUCER => BLACK MUSIC MONTH #BlackHistoryMonth

 #4  MUSIC PRODUCER
Krishna ‘Dada’ Lawrence
Krishna Lawrence, better known as ‘Dada’ was born in the urban community of Bath Estate, DOMINICA, Caribbean. Growing up as a young boy, he held on firmly to the belief that he was destined to make a significant contribution to the music industry within his country Dominica and beyond. It was this perception which led him to compose his first musical arrangement at the tender age of
fourteen. This was soon followed by the creation of a vast number of beats and songs which he often shared with peers and other members of his community. By his late teens, Dada had already begun to make a name for himself as one of the most outstanding local producers of our native bouyon music. His unique style of bouyon brought a new flare to the genre and it soon began to catch the attention of many including various bouyon bands and artists. It was not long before he began working with the popular local bouyon band ‘Triple Kay’ with whom he has produced a number of beats and songs including tracks on their 2006 ‘All Out’ and 2007 ‘Pressure’ album. Dada’s bouyon creations also made an impact in the French territories, leading to further production of popular songs such as ‘Big Tings Poppin’ by renowned French artist ‘Daly’ which as of today has over 650, 000 VIEWS on You Tube.
As the years progressed Dada continued to work with local bands and artists including the original creators of bouyon music, ‘WCK’. In 2008, he performed with the group for a short time and demonstrated his multi-talented nature by being not only a producer but also a keyboardist for the band. He also went on to work with individual artists such as Mr. Derrick Rah Peters and once again produced a few successful singles such as the song ‘Quik Money’ and one of our modern Independence anthems ’Nou Wive’ which highlights both the bouyon and jing ping sound. This song also acted as a stepping stone for Dada to venture into the production of yet another of Dominica’s authentic and original sound, Cadence music. After a few more successful productions in the Cadence field, Mr. Lawrence was soon sought out by the Kings of Cadence themselves, the Midnight Groovers Band, to work on the production of their 2010 ’En ba Solieil-La’ album. He continues to work and perform with them locally and regionally until this day. Later in 2010, Dada experienced yet another accomplishment, when he produced an entire compilation of songs with elements of the cadence and zouk music, in the form of an album entitled Independence’. This album consisted of songs performed by a wide range of local artists namely, Elisha Benoit, Old Benz, Former Calypso Kings Deryck Hunter St. Rose and Dennison Dice Joseph, Gholda and De Mighty Akar. He also later went on to have further success with the Cadence genre of music as he was the producer behind the winning song of the 2013 NCCU Cadencelypso Competition, ’De Long Tongue’ by Cletus ‘Harlibut’ Abraham.

ARTIST #2 MICHAEL JOHN ==> BLACK MUSIC MONTH Celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth

Written by Clairon Haynes

ARTIST #2 MICHAEL JOHN

Michael John is a PAST STUDENT of the owner of this BLOG. I have first met him in September 2007 when I taught him PHYSICAL EDUCATION & ECONOMICS in Grade 11. I was blessed with the privilege of reconnecting with him on SOCIAL MEDIA 6 years post his high school graduation.

Surprise, surprise you bet I was when he told me of his musical pursuit. I did not realize I would have gotten a second chance to encourage him along his career path. I feel more than blessed. Enough of my experience with him and allow me to introduce to you the now mature ARTIST/MUSICIAN Michael.

MUSIC BACKGROUND. HOW IT ALL STARTED
Michael began his journey in music during his tender childhood years with his church choir in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  He later enrolled in the music program at his high school for 4 years where he was fascinated with playing the trumpet, his favourite instrument.  During the freshman year of his college life he joined the College Choir and relished the perks of having multiple concert in the city of Lacombe, Alberta. In an effort to showcase his versatility in the ARTS he aligned himself with the drama team where he participated in several skits for the school and other events in the town.  He later returned to his native town Montreal on a three year break from all creativity to fully immerse into his studies.

After school in Montreal, Michael moved to the city of Windsor, Ontario to continue his education. Mid way through his degree, it suddenly dawned on him that this program wasn’t for him and as much as it was interesting, it wasn’t his passion so he dropped and began working as a Fido Salesman full time, making tons of money in comparison to the average person in Windsor. However, it just wasn’t enough to fill his HAPPINESS, in fact he was more DEPRESS than when he was in school. This confused state of mind alerted him of the need to make a change immediately. Thank goodness for the universe and its gifts that soon linked him with somebody that showed him a different path to his life. This person was a guitarist who has been playing guitar for well over a decade. He asked him to sing for him. A little nervousness kicked in of course. However that did not prevent him from forming melodies and instantly magic happened, they clicked and they were a unit! They were able to put out Singles, “Together” and “We wont Stop” by the former Band RareCandy in September 2014 - April 2015.

Like in everything in life DISASTER struck and band broke up. Michael decided to use this as a stepping stone to start his new future as a vocalist in the art of Music. Since then he has been able to broaden his horizons experimenting with a variety of musical genres which yielded over 40 songs which he has released for free on Soundcloud under the name AstralMic.

MUSIC GENRE
Alternative/Indie, Screamo, Hiphop, and R&B are Michael's favourite. Indie music tops the list. The fact that he was introduced to this first pretty much explains his choice. Screamo and Hiphop because it caters to the EXPRESSION OF HIS STRUGGLES. He's been through a lot in his young life, from being bullied and school to being beaten at home. "I never never really had a break during my early childhood through adolescence. I never felt like I had a safe ground, and so, a lot of anger and resentment built up in me, affording me the energy and a zeal to fully embrace Screamo and HipHop."

OBSTACLES PREVENTING ME FROM MY THE ACHIEVEMENT OF MY MUSIC GOALS

One of Michal's Major Obstacles was getting people to hear his music. His community is slowly growing, but it isn’t enough. Quoting one of his Friends BBK Canadian Beatboxing Champion, “Michael you have good quality material meant for a bigger community, and that’s all you are missing”. That has been his biggest struggle when compared to his FEAR OF SINGING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE when he just started.
