#NOJUSTICE >> READ THIS #POEM GET ON BOARD! #JusticeForTrevonMartin JUSTICE FOR TRAYVON MARTIN?

RIPtrayvonMartinGeorge Zimmerman Not Guiltytrayvon martin father tweets
The most anticipated verdict of 2013
Became public knowledge on July 14
Many were at the edge of their seats
You can hear every heartbeat
Envisioning Zimmerman's orange jumpsuit
After this long judicial pursuit
Then the verdict finally came
"Not Guilty" what a Floridian shame!

Shocked, many took to social media
Venting their frustration and anger
I could feel the pain going to my brain
Justice for Trayvon has been slain
Weren't the evidence clear?
No conviction! Is this fair?
Not even manslaughter?
What's wrong with  Florida?
Zimmerman walks scotch free
What a message for all to see!
That being black is not only a crime
But carrying skittles with a hoodie
Get you gunned down immediately
Then the system meant to protect you
Sets the defendant free for killing you

To many this verdict is no surprise
'Cause racial profiling been on the rise
One step forward when Obama won
2 steps backward for injustice of our son
Where do we go from here as a community?
Should we engage in war, or criminality?
I say no! This is a time to rise and shine
Appeal this verdict 'til justice we find!

Calling justice fighters, black sis and bros
Let's use our platform to bring this to the fore
Trayvon expects us to fight for him
Don't let his justice silently go dim
Enough of talking the talk
Time has come for us do do the walk
Change must begin with us
Let's begin without fight and fuss

I demand a thorough inquiry
A retrial quite possibly
'Cause am still confused
Why the prosecutor's plea refused!
Self defense huh, Trayvon is dead!
And cold blooded killer free instead
Oh Florida, blacks cry out for our brother
Until you revisit this case there'll be another!

We demand justice for all races
Why show prejudice in these cases?
The court is the bedrock of our society
We depend on it for our safety
Hispanic, black, white, shouldn't predetermine
The fairness of  a trial and which team win
Justice should be available to all
Living on American soil!

Wake up justice America land of the brave
Stop sending our teenagers to the grave!
Unless perpetrators pay for their crimes
Chaos and will result in these hard times
We've lost Tupac, Biggie, and many more
We've seen their justice go out the door
When will you arrive from your legal sleep?
When thousands more go to the deep?

I say no America it's not too late
Justice demands from you a clean slate
This verdict is your alarm clock
Correct this error stand firm as a rock
Let this be a a monument for history
That finally you've given black people victory
Only then the lyrics of our national anthem
Be sung with truth and conviction by them

What can we do as a people to pass this test?
More than Martin Luther's protest?
Every state needs to organize a bus tour
And by the millions picket at Fl court door!
Demanding a retrial or a public inquiry
So we can give Trayon's family a lil decency.
'Cause a criminal walking free
Is murdering their son constantly!

I'm calling on President Barrack Obama
Not because he is a leader of colour
But as someone who values justice
To investigate Floridan legal practice
'Cause if he lets this one slip
His ratings will take a dip
Our community depends on you
With your platform so much you can do

Calling on all talk shows to get on board
Use your platform as a sword!
Address this injustice for an entire month
Vent your dissatisfaction get it to the front
Discuss the evidence to America
Unravel the legal logistics will ya!
Bring criminal attorney on your panel
Release us from this wrong verdict spell

You Tubers where are you
Time to video vlog this injustice too
Invite response videos from others
Extend the dialogue to other users
I need you to petition the Florida court
Get viewers to endorse by leaving a note
Demand responsibility from Florida
For justice for our dear brother

Twitter and Facebook I expect you to share
The info proliferated through the air
Let's have a mas invasion of the airwaves
Justice for our future sons let's save
Here is a turning point for history
We'll not tolerate injustice in America society
Regardless of our creed or race
Justice for all be must solemnly embrace

Man in the mirror said Michael Jackson
This change must begin with me as a person
Why I choose to write this poem
To help solving this legal problem
What I missed please add to it
Any suggestions/solutions you see fit
Trayvon I surrender my help to you
Your justice I'll fight the most I can do!

SET ME FREE

BY CLAIRON HAYNES AUGUST 2008

SET ME FREE

So you refuse to hear my plea
Of a dire need to set me free.
Well you've left me with no other option,
But to struggle at all cost for my full liberation.

Your power lied in your money,
You've skipped across the ocean just to buy me.
You've snatched me from my dearly beloved land,
Chaining me to your ship from my feet and to my hand

You've stolen my culural identity
Brainwashing me to believe the west is my destiny
I laboured tirelessly on your sugar cane plantations
Drinking from your cup of damnation.

You stripped my clothes in the fiery sun
Scorging my back as thouh having fun
Through rebellion I could escape my servitude
And give you a shares of your own food

It came as a shock?
Mr slave master you run out of luck.
All those years you've worked me without a wage,
You certainly became a victim of my rage.

I set fire to your plantation,
Revenging your brutality and humiliation.
Your houses were burnt and demolished,
Thanks for the poor housing you furnished.

I agonized for your banishement,
Owing to your severe and sadistic punishment.
I ensured that you didn't eat your sumptious menue,
You gave me food lacking nutritious value.

I could no longer tolerate female sexual exploitation,
So I lured you closer to your retribution.
Legal manumission signified a bitter victory,
Had I escaped with death I couldn't have told my story.

Though my violent act couldn't buy me my abolition,
For the Trans Atlantic Trade it had serious repurcussion.
In the latter half of the eighteenth century,
I reccorded a significant change in the books of history.

A secular intellectual movement in France,
Gave Jean-Jack Rousseau a chance,
To stress equality and fraternity of the human race
That British humanitarians latter sought to embrace.

Thomas Clarkson, wilberforce, and Grenville Sharpe,
Sounded their anti-slavery harp.
They staged a systematic campaign
Sensitizing the British public of my pain

They persuaded parliament to set me free,
Relentless efforts were successfully eventually.
In 1807 parliament rush to declare,
The slave trade was illegal for its nationals everywhere.

On the first of August 1834,
I tasted freedom and couldn't ask for more.
Thank God for the passing of the abolition bill
Enabling me to exercise my free will

What else forced this unanimous decision?
It was prompted by economic conditions.
The west Indies and Africa saw an interesting swing,
Featuring differently in British thinking.

The heart of the economy,
Was seen on the decline by many.
Soils became exhausted,
Fallen sugar prices made it difficult to be marketed.

Guess what happened next,
My mother country became increasingly vexed.
Regarding the islands as her next closed door,
Having less economic value to her than before.

This had implications for my land of birth,
It's supply of slave labour lost its worth.
My brethren remained in their homeland,
No longer captured and sent to meet me in the C'bean

My freedom wasn't indicative of your love for me,
I don't care 'cause I'm already free.
What matters is that I have been emancipated,
and I bear no grudge, resentment, or hatred

After all I possess a forgiving heart,
That was suppressed through your wrath.
That's why it's easy for me to shake hands with you
An teach you civilization that you never knew.

Now you behold my progress and bravery,
You regret you freed me from slavery.
Ha,ha you can't turn back the hands of time
So you can resurrect your white coloured crime.

Are we truly free or are we stiil in chain? Many of us are still enslaved mentally. It is imperative that we bleach our thoughts of negativity, sin, hatred, envy, etc. For too long our thoughts have been our cage mirroring us as a slaves. No wonder some of us are confused of our identity and allow even the blind to lead us to our destination. We are so far gone, many times to a point of no return, to being ashamed of our 'roots' regarding our own brothers as brutes. This tarnished mentality needs to be cleansed in such a way that this chain of inferiority is totally shattered. We must gain our rightful place immediately. Not at the expense of wrongful deeds, of course. The chains of bitterness must be cut, armouring ourselves with forgiveness. It behoves us to conduct our struggle with longevity and rise to the majestic height of meeting physical force with soul force. Then I shall refrain from acusing you of being in chains and march with you to freedome from each of these gruesome links!

"I AM BEAUTIFUL"

August 11, 2009 at 10:08pm

I am beautiful
Special and sophisticated
I Let no one doubt me of that
I Stay true to this fact
I Always am the one to define me
I Believe in all that I do
I Love me, adore me
Smiling everyday
Pushing myself all the way
I'm one of a kind
I Keep this in mind
I'm created for a reason
No one else can fulfill my mission
So today I'll remember
I have one more day
To hear me say
I'm special and beautiful
And for this I'm thankful!

By Clairon: Copyright
I thank God for the gift of accepting myself just the way He made me!
