Hurrah to the Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. I have to say this is by far the best news I have heard about my island since the year has started. I am so happy that persons who domicile within the Vincentian diaspora can finally wave good-bye to Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados and fly directly to their island without having to fret about their delayed or lost luggage. Ah bwoy LIAT I will see less post on Facebook from angry passengers whom you have rubbed the wrong way due to poor services that you have provided them.

Wait ah minute let me not get too excited about AMERICAN AIRLINES flying to meh lil island so fast yet eh. I actually have a bitter-sweet relationship with this airline eh. Wait nah, it was only 2 months ago on March 18 that I booked a flight with this airline to fly from meh home city Montreal to Carolina to board the Carnival Fascination cruise ship and to my dismay my trip was ruined before I even stepped my feet on this aircraft. The aircraft reportedly had "mechanical problems" and left me stranded in Montreal.

Well I had to throw this experience into this good news because I almost got carried away by meh excitement that I almost forgot how this airline almost messed up my first cruise to the Caribbean.

Ah aint no hater of American Airline and I am not raining pon Vincy parade since we are far away from the rainy season. I am hopeful that I will be the only Vincentian who have had this unpleasant experience with American Airlines. Enough of my tongue lashing and time for some real benefits that are to be derived from this new development. Should I? Nah I will wait for the numerous Facebook commentators to talk the things them in my newsfeed and will return with the details for you.

Well I have not blogged in months so I am just dropping in to celebrate this milestone with the lovely people of my island.

Love always,
Clairon
